KCI Homes chooses to create our communities in the wonderfully diverse OKC area. With so much to offer, you may be at a loss at what OKC attraction you should see first. Here are a few places to start.
Oklahoma City is modern, exciting, and easily accessible. But it is also a city that is rich in Western history and culture. If you want to take a step back into the Wild West, put on your cowboy boots and head on down to Stockyards City. Spend the day strolling the streets, learning history, and visiting the western shops. If you time it right, you may even be able to stop in on a livestock auction.
If you enjoy being outside and getting a good dose of adrenaline, Riversport Adventure is the place for you. Here you can come and engage in kayaking, white-water rafting, climbing, ziplining, and more. They have activities for all seasons, so you can have fun all year round.
Lake Hefner is another place you can go to enjoy a bit of time outdoors. Take a stroll around the lake, plan a picnic, or even go for a round of golf. Planning your visit to Lake Hefner around sunset will make for an even more memorable visit as you can watch the soft pinks and oranges wash over the water before disappearing behind the lighthouse.
OKC has a lot of fun and exciting districts to explore, Bricktown being one of them. Spend some time walking along the river. Maybe enjoy a baseball game while you are here. And do not forget to try out some of the bars and restaurants. You would be hard pressed to find a bad meal in OKC.
Like we said, there are many districts of OKC to explore. Another one worth visiting is the Paseo Arts District. Here you can leisurely admire the stucco and clay roof tile architecture and visit the 20+ art galleries.
This is just a short highlight reel of some of the things you can enjoy in OKC. The list could go on and on.
If you are looking to stay in OKC for more than just a visit, contact KCI Homes. We would love to help you build your home sweet home.
